New Federal Law Mandates All Indoor Hockey Rinks Must Switch from a Freon Gas to an Alternate Cooling Based System by 2023
East Side Youth Sports Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and owner and operator of the ESH Ice Arena in Detroit, has announced a fundraising initiative to assist in the costs associated with the rink’s transition from the current Freon based cooling system, to an Ammonia based system, to bring us up to 2020 code rules.
The East Side Youth Sports Foundation is looking for reading mentors to spend an one hour per week at Beacon or Tyrone Elementary working on reading skills with 2nd and 3rd grade students.
Mentor training will be held on December 16th and 17th at Beacon from 3:30-4:30 pm.
Service hour credits provided for High School students looking to participate.
The program will officially begin on Tuesday January 7th and run one day per week at each location until March 31st.
